‘Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more.” – Melodie Beattie
I believe that embodying gratitude daily is one of the most powerful practices you can gift to yourself. Gratitude is a practice that fills your cup and allows you to focus on all the good you have in your life.
Research has linked gratitude with many benefits, including strengthening your immune system and improving sleep, feeling optimistic, and experiencing more joy and pleasure.
There is so much to be grateful for. The sunshine after a cloudy day, a stranger holding a door for you, coming home to a home-cooked meal, or laying in bed at night in the warmth of your own home.
Each of these small moments creates a web of wellbeing that, over time, strengthens your ability to notice the good. Commit to practice gratitude daily. Here is how I do it…
Use your breath to anchor yourself in the present moment. Bring the breath into your heart space and start to think about something you are grateful for. Allow that thought to start to amplify and let the feeling of gratitude fill every cell of your body.
